R58L is for those who want a tracker today, without installation: it plugs into the diagnostic port under the steering wheel and takes power from it, so it never needs charging.
Besides route, stops, speed and direction, it reads data from the car’s CAN bus — useful for fleets that keep an eye on mileage and vehicle condition.
Alerts: ignition, vibration, speeding, geofence in and out, unplugging. Note: an OBD tracker is visible at the port — for theft protection choose R16.

No. It is powered by the car’s OBD-II port and works around the clock.
Does R58L protect against theft?
An OBD tracker is visible at the port and easy to pull out. For theft protection we recommend the hidden R16.
